Step guide in to making a crochet clutch bag

 


Firstly I've made a long strip, which the crochet stitch is called double  crochet. If you want to try this out, just freely do how many rows preferably the length should be long as in the end your going to fold it in half and the width should smaller than the length, maybe twelve single chain to start with and continue working onto the next chain.
 

 

For the strip you can do another stitch as a guide as I did a popcorn stitch so I know the top bit above that stitch will be left alone as it will be the button flap that will function with the button sewed on ,  from left and right side of the strip below the popcorn strip do about fourteen chains (downwards) or more of a double crochet stitch. When you are finished fold it in half inside out and sew the seams together either with your crochet hook or with a sewing needle with the same colour thread as it hides the stitches. Now unfold it to the right side and you clutch bag in completed.As you can see above, this is what I've made for my uni fashion show of my festival collection.
