Queuing for fashion

Queuing for Fashion
Queuing for the latest fashion must have is my fashion nightmare, waiting in the long never ending queue all hot and bothered. All I want is to speed up the process, but if I got what I’ve bargain for then I will be happy to wait all day. Thats why you see me and other ladies rushing around Britain in the Christmas and Boxing Day sales, January sales(at Matalan), designer discounts sales and any other sales, to get what we’re waiting for all year.    The expensive duffle coat I’ve been longing for is all mine.

Why do we Queue? Queuing has been a part of  Britain culture from the early 1900s till now; it’s a part of the procedure, it’s gone on for ages so why stop now? If you’re buying something you want or for someone else, waiting in the queue is the solution to get served and buy it before it runs out of stock or you won’t get it at all. Then the next day you will talk to yourself ‘I should of got that navy satchel bag’ .Now there’s a new technology of self-checkout for supermarkets, which they should be in fashion retailer stores to speed up the queuing- it will help, but with Britain population of 62,435,709(to be exact) and some more a number of self-checkout or checkout counters will make a little difference.

Queuing for fashion is what we Brits love to do of getting the latest designer wear, high street trend, waiting for a new collection, getting the new top trends which we rip a pocket guide that we saw from our favourite magazine (company) or brides waiting outside the bridal shop for a bargain with in their budget range, so they can rush to get their hands on the bridal dress they dream of (like     Monica in Friends). Fashion is the main passion for the shoppers in the queue; they are willing to wait to be on trend or getting what they want to buy and keep up to date with the latest fashion.

Going to the Graduate fashion show was inspiring by the stylish trends that everyone had, it show individuality and shows that each and every one is a trend setter, so it’s worth queuing in the queue to get what suits you. Watching Gok fashion fix makes us want to go to the high street to mimic our fav designer style clothes with our own little twist.

Queuing is not a bad thing it’s all worthwhile, at the end it  meets are desire of what we wanted to get or we just walk pass for a little window shopping, until we saw are favourite dress or a bag for our guilty pleasure. Queuing takes patience; don’t think too much about this long, long and even long queue- this make this situation more strain and tiring, just pop on a iPod, chat to friends or think about   exciting things and by the time comes of being called to the counter number five you never knew that you’ve been in the queue for ages, the time will fly quick. Because queuing is a part of shopping culture, the Brits are just used to it and let’s face it, it’s very organised- that means knowing where to queue, no  queue jumping, queuing in other words mean ‘first come first serve’ .
